Let's start with what got me into remission:
1. IV Rocephin (2g) everyday for 2 months
2. Weekly massages
3. No sugar, gluten, caffeine, alcohol
4. Yoga, pilates, power walking
5. Probiotics (6 a day - spread throughout the day)
6. Vitamins....lots of vitamins
Now let's go back to the beginning:
Initially I did the standard 3 week course of Doxy. I previously had bad reactions to doxy and relayed this to my doc who said it was the best thing for Lyme so I sucked it up. Bad move.
6 months later all of my Lyme symptoms came back with a vengeance.
I went to an LLMD who started me on this course of treatment:
After 3 months of that not working and getting progressively worse another oral antibiotic was added.
Then I switched doctors.
He took me off all of the above chart and put me a new oral and a liquid antibiotic.
6 weeks later, per our contract, I then went on the IV rocephin. Since stopping the rocephin I have been on an oral antibiotic (twice daily)....still debating when to stop that.
